How to Make Basic Diagram

Hello guys, After go through the my first blog 'Introduction to Microsoft visio', Welcome to my second blog " How to make basic Flowchart". (If you haven't go through the basics of Microsoft Visio then my recommendation is that first learn about the basics of it and then read this)






So.. How to make Basic Flow Chart in Microsoft Visio?

Step 1 :Open Microsoft Visio, Once you open it, you will find the below screen. Click on "Basic Diagram" to create basic Diagram.


Step 2 : After Selecting "Basic Diagram" options, you have to select Unit for the diagram. Click on US Unit or Metric Unit. (Metric Unit is recommended)




Step 3 : After following above steps, you will find that Shape window of Home Screen is contains "Basic Shapes" Stencils, Which contains the all the basic shapes (Shown in Figure).



Step 4 : It is the main step as this step involves how to make diagrams. So to make the diagrams you can just click on any shapes you want and drag it to the drawing pane. You also can resize according to the requirement. Double click on any shapes to name it. You also can change the color of text, size of the text, format of the text i.e. Bold Italic Underline etc.


You also can change the color of the shapes from "Fill" Option (Home menu). One can set the border of the shapes also.
